Learning to sew will allow you to express yourself creatively. You will be able to create unique clothing that fits you exactly as you would like. You will also be able to repair and make alternations to your favorite garments. Here are some basic lessons.

Sewing Machine Basics
You will learn about the different parts of the machine and how they work. You will also learn to thread the machine and the bobbin. Also how to adjust the thread tension, stitch type and length.
Introduction to commercial sewing patterns
You will learn how to select the correct sewing pattern for your project. How to determine the fabric and notions needed. How to read instructions, layout and cut fabric and finally assemble the pattern pieces.
